Del 4 al 8 de mayo han celebrado su retiro anual los religiosos escolapios en Filipinas, acompañados por el Obispo Teodoro Bacani, centrado en el el rostro de Dios a través de la humanidad, la fe, la reconciliación, el Misterio Pascual, la fraternidad, la integridad clerical y la esperanza de la Resurrección.
The Piarist Fathers in the Philippines gathered at Bahay Pari from May 4–8, 2026, for their Annual Retreat, guided by Bishop Teodoro Bacani. Centered on the theme of revealing the face of God through humanity, the retreat reflected on faith, reconciliation, the Paschal Mystery, fraternal brotherhood, clerical integrity, and the hope of the Resurrection.
Sessions emphasized a personal encounter with God, humble repentance, compassionate service, and living the Cross through “malasakit” for others. The retreat also included discussions on sacerdotal brotherhood with Sr. Shy and safeguarding and clerical accountability under Vos Estis Lux Mundi led by Fr. Victor De Guzman.
The retreat concluded on May 8, the Feast of Our Lady of the Pious Schools, with a closing Mass presided over by Bishop Bacani together with the priests of the Cebu community, renewing the Piarists’ mission to make God’s face visible through compassionate and human service.
